When a routine autopsy on what looked like a straightforward hit-and-run leads the LA Chief Medical Examiner, Dr Carolyn Hove, to discover some puzzling inconsistencies, she calls in Detective Robert Hunter of the LAPD Ultra Violent Crimes Unit. Chris Carter knows killers! He writes in such a way that it is impossible to put down. Im engrossed from page 1. Horrifically delicious… fantastically macabre… This is an absolute must for all fans of crime!

Worth the wait!

Chris Carter has made such a rich and vivid world for the characters in his Robert Hunter thrillers. He never ceases to amaze me - his mind is next level when it comes to these novels. It was worth the wait, and I'm looking forward to his next release (2025).
