About the Author:

Michael Bond was an esteemed British author best known for creating the beloved character Paddington Bear. Born in Newbury, England, in 1926, Bond developed a passion for storytelling early in life. His first Paddington book, A Bear Called Paddington, published in 1958, introduced readers to the marmalade-loving bear from Darkest Peru, quickly becoming a worldwide favorite. Bond’s gentle humor and heartwarming tales captured the imaginations of children and adults alike, resulting in more than 20 Paddington books translated into numerous languages. Beyond his work with Paddington, Bond wrote several other series and standalone novels, showcasing his talent for crafting engaging and enduring narratives.
